Correction, 3 October 2026. On 3 October 2026 we withdrew our Hospitality finding that The Ritz had entered the Top 3 in 2026-W40, one tenth of a point above Ritz-Carlton, and four related news stories (published 27 July, 10 August and 28 September 2026). That finding was wrong. A fault in how our system read brand names counted some mentions of ‘The Ritz-Carlton’ as ‘The Ritz’, so the comparison between the two brands, and the positions we gave them, should not be relied on. The ‘The Ritz’ entries in the Hospitality rankings for 2026-W31, W32 and W34 to W40 reflect that fault; they stay as published and should not be read as a measurement of The Ritz London or The Ritz Paris. The fault is fixed in ARES-C 2.3 from cycle 2026-W41; see the ARES-C 2.3 release notes on our methodology page.
